Hawkins Priday Ltd staff
Kelvin Alexander FCCA
Initially employed as a Manager of Hawkins Priday in November 1998, Kelvin became a Partner of the firm in January 2003 and has since gone on to be Managing Director. In addition to obtaining a Practicing Certificate from ACCA at the first attempt, he is also a Registered Auditor and the firm’s Senior Statutory Auditor.
Kelvin is very much a local man having lived in Herefordshire all his life. He is therefore especially keen to support the owner-managed businesses who play a fundamental part in the county’s employment and economy and who each face their own unique set of challenges and demands.
As his football days are well and truly behind him, when not in the office, you will probably find Kelvin on the golf course, on a ski slope, or enjoying a pint in his local.
Ruth started working for Hawkins Priday in 2002, in conjuction with running her own book-keeping business.
Her role within the firm is as an Office Manager, managing the day to day running of the practice. She also brings with her an extensive experience
in book-keeping, specializing in Sage accounts and Payroll programmes.
In her spare time Ruth is an active member of a local hockey side, but nearing her retirement has taken up the sport of golf, which she enjoys playing with her husband.
Aaron joined Hawkins Priday in July 2006 and subsequently obtained his MAAT status, which included winning the HGTA Student of the Year Award. He is now studying towards the ACCA qualification and is in his final year.
He is a valued member of our team responsible for mentoring the Accounts Juniors and overseeing the preparation of Accounts, Company/Personal Tax Returns and VAT Returns. He also provides assistance with audit assignments and is a proven IT problem solver!
When not in the office or studying, Aaron spends his time either in the gym or socializing with friends.
Accounts Semi-Senior & Payroll Administrator
Holly joined Hawkins Priday in September 2012 as a Trainee immediately following her A-level results from Hereford Sixth Form College. She has since obtained her MAAT status with first-time passes at every level. Holly’s natural aptitude and common sense approach to Accounts and payroll work has seen her fast tracked to the position of Client and Payroll Manager within the firm.
In her role at Hawkins Priday, Holly oversees a portfolio of clients including personal tax cases, sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies. She also oversees the Payroll Department and advises on Pensions Automatic Enrolment services, including the provision of training where necessary.
When she's not in the office, Holly enjoys reading, watching films and relaxing with family and friends.
Hayley joined the team in December 2014 initially to cover reception and carry out administration duties. Hayley was already attending Hereford College of Technology on a day release basis studying for her AAT Level 4 qualification, and now she is learning to put this study into practice in taking on a more active ‘hands on’ role in helping to complete VAT returns and covering payroll duties, as well as running the front of house.
Whilst at work, Hayley is responsible for the smooth running of the reception duties, as well as the administration tasks required by all the other members of staff.
When she is not at work, Hayley spends her time with her two year son, which does not leave a lot of time for her other loves, being hockey, catching up with friends and travelling.
