Karen McLellan ACA
Partner
Karen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998, joined Hawkins Priday in the same year and became a partner in 2003. She has a wide range of experience in general practice, but specialises in providing business consultancy, tax mitigation and accountancy services to owner-managed businesses, as well as support and advice for start-up businesses.
Married and a mother of two young children, Karen spends her time juggling a professional career with the demands of family life but with what spare time she has, enjoys travel, reading and eating out. She is also a school governor.

Kelvin Alexander FCCA
Partner
Initially employed as a Manager of a client portfolio in November 1998, Kelvin became a Partner of the firm in January 2003 after obtaining a practicing certificate from ACCA at the first attempt.
Kelvin has many years experience of auditing and as such, is a Registered Auditor and the firm’s Senior Statutory Auditor. Over the years, he has built up strong relationships with many of our long term clients.
Prior to joining Hawkins Priday, Kelvin was employed as a Management Accountant in a local Industry. This experience enables him to provide both practical and technical advice to a variety of business clients, especially the owner-managed businesses who play a fundamental part in the county’s employment and economy and who each face their own unique issues.
As his football days are well and truly behind him, when not in the office, you will probably find Kelvin either on the golf course, travelling or watching some other sports activity.

Richard Hughes FCA
Manager
Richard spent many years in industry after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, acting as the finance director of companies in the West Midlands until moving to Hereford to take up a similar role with a local company. He returned to the profession in 1998 and joined Hawkins Priday in the following year where he utilises his extensive experience of industry to advise and assist his corporate and personal clients.
Richard’s interests extend to walking, watching cricket and listening to Jazz whilst enjoying a pint of real ale or a glass of red wine.

Sarah Kaye FCCA
Manager
Sarah joined Hawkins Priday in 1999 as a trainee Accountant having worked in Insolvency for 12 months prior to this. She qualified in 2004 as a Chartered Certified Accountant and became a Manager of one of the firm’s client portfolios in 2007.
Sarah manages a diverse client base and has experience in all of the Accountancy and Taxation services that the firm offers.
Sarah lives in Hereford and has a young family. In any spare time Sarah enjoys socialising with family and friends.

Helen Webb
Payroll and tax manager
Helen joined Hawkins Priday in 2008.
She spent many years working for H M Revenue and Customs providing customer advice on general tax issues as well as bookkeeping and payroll training, before moving to private practice. Her in depth knowledge of the workings and structure of H M Revenue and Customs provides a valuable resource to Hawkins Priday and to her clients.
Helen manages the payroll bureau, as well as specialising in personal tax issues. She provides clear practical advice for our clients on a wide range of taxation issues.
She is a keen gardener and enjoys going for long walks with her dog.

Kerry Amos FCCA
Manager
Kerry joined Hawkins Priday in September 2008 as an Accounts Manager, having worked in practice locally for in excess of 12 years supporting local businesses, and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001.
In her current role with Hawkins Priday, Kerry deals with a wide portfolio of clients ranging from small personal tax cases to medium sized corporate entities, providing accountancy, taxation and audit services.
Outside of the office Kerry is a keen netball player and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Tom Cheetham MAAT
Assistant Manager
Tom joined Hawkins Priday in the summer of 2004 as a Trainee Accountant. After studying at the Hereford College of Technology, Tom achieved the AAT qualification. He then embarked upon the ACCA qualification, studying at the University of Wales: Newport and is currently sitting his final exam.
Tom works on a diverse portfolio of clients from sole traders to small limited companies producing Tax Returns and Annual Accounts.
In his spare time, Tom has a keen sports interest and is still waiting to see his beloved Liverpool FC win the league!

Andy Bray MAAT
Assistant Manager
Andy joined Hawkins Priday in October 2002 as an Accounts Trainee and having successfully completed the AAT programme at Hereford College of Technology, is now currently working towards his ACCA qualification and will be sitting his final exam in December 2008.
In his current role of Assistant Manager, Andy is actively involved in the management of a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small personal tax cases to medium size corporate entities. He is also responsible for a team of support staff, whereby he is responsible for reviewing their work and monitoring their training needs.
Outside of the office Andy enjoys fishing and is a keen sports fan.
Registered as auditors by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
