- Working with a named individual who will offer friendly, independent advice
- Discussing the pros and cons of being your own boss
- Identifying your key motivations and objectives
- Establishing the most appropriate business structure: sole trader, partnership, limited liability partnership or limited company
- Notifying H M Revenue and Customs
- Registering your business for VAT, if applicable
- Setting up a PAYE scheme. Subsequent payroll support can also be provided by our payroll department if required
- Choosing an accounting year end
- Preparation of a business plan which will not only assist in raising funds from potential investors, but will also summarise the objectives of the business and provide a budget against which actual performance can be measured
- Establishing your finance requirements
- Advising on suitable bookkeeping methods and the required accounting records.
